Visa-free regime for Afghan citizens in free economic zone of Termez region.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed new measures for the development of “International Trade Center Termez” (Center)

Entrepreneurs working on the territory of the center are allowed to hire foreigners (including citizens of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan) and stateless persons only on the basis of labor contracts. Employment will not require confirmation of the right to work in Uzbekistan.

Citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan will have the right not only to lease but also to acquire ownership of stores, service and production facilities on the territory of the center. At the same time, the land will be transferred to them under the right of lease.

Foreign citizens are allowed to enter and stay at the center without a visa for a period not exceeding 15 days. In addition, patients of the medical clinic on the center’s premises will be granted medical entry visas if necessary.
