Uz CLAAS Agro is an Uzbek-German agricultural machinery manufacturer operating a fully integrated 20,000-square-metre production facility in Tashkent.
Uz CLAAS Agro was created to localise the manufacture of CLAAS agricultural machinery in Uzbekistan, with production beginning in 2010. The enterprise links German machinery technology with a local industrial base serving grain producers, agricultural clusters and mechanised farms.
CLAAS describes the Tashkent plant as a fully integrated manufacturing facility. Its production processes include metalworking, cutting, bending, painting and final assembly, allowing several stages of machinery manufacture to be carried out at one site. The total production area covers 20,000 square metres.
The plant currently produces DOMINATOR combine harvesters and ARION 630C tractors. These product lines support grain harvesting and field operations and bring locally assembled and manufactured CLAAS equipment closer to Uzbek farms, together with the technical knowledge required for production and servicing.
An industry publication issued in 2018 reported annual output of more than 200 machines and a workforce exceeding 270 employees at the enterprise. The combination of a local factory, specialised industrial processes and established product lines makes Uz CLAAS Agro a substantial international manufacturing project within Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
