Uzbekistan has one of the youngest and fastest-growing demographic profiles in the region, creating an expanding pool of human capital for businesses and investors. The country’s population increased from 36 million in 2023 to 39,5 million in 2026, growing by more than 2,7 million people in just three years. Around 52% of the population is under the age of 30, providing Uzbekistan with a substantial and young workforce. The labour force stands at approximately 15,7 million people, with more than 600,000 new entrants joining the labour market each year. At the same time, the country’s talent pool continues to expand: the number of university students reached 1,54 million in the 2025/2026 academic year, increasing by 7,1% year-on-year and nearly doubling compared with the 2021/2022 academic year.
