Indorama Agro

Indorama Agro operates through Indorama Holdings B.V. as part of Singapore’s Indorama Corporation. The company entered Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector during the reform of the cotton cluster system and has developed an integrated farming platform combining crop production, irrigation, storage, primary processing and cooperation with local producers.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development records a total project cost of US$283.4 million. Its financing package comprises up to US$60 million for capital expenditure and up to US$10 million in local-currency-equivalent working-capital financing. The programme supports agricultural machinery, irrigation infrastructure, land development and the working-capital requirements of large-scale farming.
According to the company, Indorama Agro directly cultivates more than 56,000 hectares and cooperates with local producers on an additional 25,000 hectares. Its crop portfolio includes cotton, winter wheat and barley. The company also describes the use of precision farming, drip irrigation, crop rotation, biological pest-control methods and soil-restoration practices across its operations.
Its production infrastructure includes modern cotton-ginning plants, grain silos, a seed-production facility, two composting facilities and eight warehouses with a combined area of 52,000 square metres. These assets connect cultivation with input storage, seed preparation, crop handling and primary processing, giving Indorama Agro an established operational presence across several stages of Uzbekistan’s agricultural value chain.
