UzAuto-INZI

UzAuto-INZI was established in 2015 by Uzbekistan’s Uzavtosanoat and South Korea’s INZI AMT Co., Ltd. The founding partners each held a 50% stake, with charter capital of US$10 million. This figure represents the company’s founding capital, rather than a verified total project investment cost.

The project was designed to localise aluminium components for Uzbekistan’s automotive industry. Its original specifications envisaged 43 types of parts for vehicles, engines and generators, with annual aluminium casting production exceeding 2,400 tonnes. A 6.9-hectare site was allocated for the production facilities.

By June 2022, the enterprise was manufacturing aluminium parts using high-pressure die casting. Its reported annual production volume was 3.5 million components, and it employed 200 specialists.

UzAuto-INZI illustrates how foreign equity participation can support specialised manufacturing within Uzbekistan’s automotive supply chain. Its significance lies in operating production facilities, skilled employment and the domestic manufacture of components used in higher-value industrial products.
