LUKOIL

LUKOIL is one of the largest foreign investors in Uzbekistan’s fuel and energy sector. The company initiated its primary operations in the country following the 2004 signing of a production-sharing agreement for the Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad project in partnership with Uzbekneftegaz. By 2024, LUKOIL’s cumulative investment in Uzbekistan exceeded $10 billion. A cornerstone of its asset portfolio is the Kandym Gas Processing Complex in the Bukhara Region, commissioned in 2018 with an investment value of $3.5 billion and an annual design capacity to process 8.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Alongside the central processing facility, LUKOIL’s broader activities encompass gas extraction projects, production wells, pipelines, gathering networks, and field infrastructure across the Bukhara and Kashkadarya regions. These long-term capital investments have significantly expanded the nation's natural gas processing capabilities, generated skilled industrial employment, and contributed to regional infrastructure development.
