EPAM Systems

EPAM has operated a major software-engineering centre in Uzbekistan since 2019; by June 2023 its local workforce exceeded 700 employees, while its partnership with IT Park created a dedicated technology university and a pipeline of new specialists.

EPAM Systems is an international digital engineering, cloud and artificial-intelligence services company founded in 1993 and headquartered in Newtown, Pennsylvania. EPAM opened its first office in Uzbekistan in 2019 and became an IT Park resident. In June 2023, the Government of Uzbekistan reported that the local operation employed more than 700 people and exported services to European countries. This workforce made EPAM one of the largest internationally connected software-engineering employers operating in the country at the time.

The Uzbekistan operation recruits across cloud and DevOps, data engineering, software development, quality engineering, business analysis, Salesforce and artificial intelligence. Local specialists work within EPAM’s international delivery model, contributing technical services for overseas clients while building experience in globally used engineering methods, platforms and industry standards.

EPAM’s contribution also includes formal higher education. IT Park University was launched in 2022 by IT Park Uzbekistan and EPAM, using a digitally supported teaching model focused on technology careers. The university admitted 399 students in its first year, including 326 students in bachelor’s programmes.

EPAM’s international scale provides context for the local centre and university partnership. For 2025, the company reported revenue of US$5.457 billion, an increase of 15.4 percent, GAAP income from operations of US$520.003 million and a global workforce of 62,850 employees at year-end. An operating engineering centre, a local workforce measured in hundreds, exports to Europe and a jointly created university give EPAM a broad presence that combines commercial services, employment and long-term skills infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
