PROMOMED PHARMA

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Moscow, Promomed Group is a leading biopharmaceutical enterprise publicly traded on the Moscow Exchange under the ticker PRMD, with Russian businessman Petr Bely serving as its dominant controlling stakeholder. The group’s primary full-cycle manufacturing asset and R&D platform is JSC Biokhimik, located in Saransk, Republic of Mordovia. Originally established in 1951 and acquired by Promomed in 2015, the high-tech facility handles everything from active molecular synthesis to finished dosage forms, maintaining an extensive portfolio across oncology, endocrinology, neurology, and anti-infective therapies.

Rather than partnering through a domestic joint venture, the group established an independent operational footprint in Central Asia by registering LLC PROMOMED PHARMA as a wholly foreign-owned legal entity in Tashkent. In early 2026, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan completed an international audit of the Biokhimik plant in Russia, issuing an official Uzbek Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate that authorizes the direct importation of its pharmaceuticals. Through this cross-border corporate structure, Promomed utilizes its Russian manufacturing infrastructure to synthesize, package, and supply vital endocrinology, oncology, and antiviral medications directly into the healthcare network and pharmaceutical market of Uzbekistan.
