Jurabek Laboratories operates in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, with a major production facility in Almalyk. The company identifies itself as an Uzbek Arab joint venture and maintains separate quality assurance and quality control departments.
An official presidential report in July 2021 recorded capacities of 48 million infusion vials, 480 million ampoules, 60 million dry antibiotic units and 20 million lyophilised medicine units. At that time, the enterprise had registered more than 300 products and exported to over 15 countries.
The same report announced the start of a US$30 million biotechnology project focused on monoclonal antibodies. This development marked a move towards more specialised pharmaceutical manufacturing alongside the company’s established sterile medicine business.
