Qizilqumsement

Located in Navoi, Qizilqumsement is the largest single industrial cement and clinker manufacturing enterprise in Central Asia, privatized through a landmark 1.89 trillion UZS (~$175 million) transaction by international holding United Cement Group (UCG). The enterprise has a long manufacturing history in Uzbekistan and operates within UCG’s regional cement business.
Operating multiple production kilns with an installed design capacity of over 3.5 million tons of cement annually, the complex produces specialized sulfate-resistant, oil-well, and high-strength construction cements. Its range extends from general construction materials to cement grades selected for demanding industrial and infrastructure applications.
UCG’s post-privatization modernization program has focused on automating kiln controls, reducing gas consumption per ton of clinker, and supplying cement to major hydraulic, transit, and skyscraper developments across the republic. This combination of product specialisation and large scale manufacturing connects the plant with several segments of the construction economy.
