Located in the city of Fergana, the Fergana Chemical Plant of Furan Compounds is an organic and biochemical synthesis enterprise operating with foreign capital and technical partnerships. The enterprise’s specialisation connects the processing of agricultural materials with the manufacture of industrial organic chemicals.
The plant processes agricultural residues - chiefly hydrolyzed cotton seed hulls and crop byproducts - into furan series chemicals, refined technical cellulose, and furfural, producing tens of thousands of tons of refined organic compounds annually. This approach gives agricultural byproducts a further role as feedstock for chemical production.
The manufactured furan resins, foundry sand binders, and specialized solvents supply heavy metallurgical foundries, composite material producers, and domestic protective coating factories, with active export deliveries directed toward international markets. Its customer base reflects the use of organic chemistry in foundry materials, resins and industrial coatings.
