Gcore Uzbekistan

Gcore is a Luxembourg-headquartered international provider of public cloud, edge computing, content delivery, hosting, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence infrastructure. IT Park reported in January 2024 that Gcore’s Tashkent team had grown from one employee to more than 150. The operation began with quality-assurance services for foreign gaming clients and expanded into a sizeable technology centre. At the time of that report, the company was adding around ten employees a month, demonstrating rapid growth in internationally oriented technical employment.
On 12 April 2024, Gcore announced the availability of its Tashkent Edge Cloud region. The location provides services such as virtual instances, bare-metal servers, managed Kubernetes, containers and managed logging. Built-in distributed-denial-of-service protection and infrastructure hosted in Tier III or Tier IV data centres support the reliability and security of workloads deployed through the platform.
Gcore raised US$60 million in Series A financing in July 2024, led by Wargaming, Constructor Capital and Han River Partners. The company presented the financing as support for artificial-intelligence innovation, deployment of NVIDIA graphics-processing-unit servers and continued international expansion. The transaction strengthened the wider platform to which the Uzbekistan team and Tashkent cloud region contribute.
Gcore’s current international profile lists more than 600 team members, over 210 points of presence across six continents, more than 50 cloud locations and over 14,000 peering partners. This global network gives the Tashkent operation a dual role: it produces technical and quality-assurance services through a local workforce and provides operational computing infrastructure within Uzbekistan. That combination makes Gcore one of the strongest examples in the sector of a foreign company that has established both services and digital infrastructure in the country.
