Tenge Bank, a subsidiary of Halyk Bank in Uzbekistan, began operations in May 2019. On 18 May 2019, the bank received a banking license from the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and officially commenced customer service on 10 July 2019. From its inception, Tenge Bank has aligned its strategy with Uzbekistan’s financial sector reform agenda, focusing on digital banking solutions, modernization of financial services and the adoption of international service standards.
The bank has steadily expanded its regional footprınt. By the end of 2020, branches were opened in Fergana and Samarkand, significantly enhancıng access to banking services for both individuals and businesses. In March 2022, Tenge Bank advanced its digital transformation by launching the Tenge24 mobile application, which offers customers a full range of banking services online.
As of 31 December 2024, Tenge Bank demonstrated stable financial performance, with total assets of approximately UZS 8.1 trillion, a loan portfolio of around UZS 3.8 trillion, and net profit of UZS 36.2 billion. Today, Tenge Bank plays a meaningful role in strengthening Uzbekistan’s banking sector, supporting retail, corporate and SME clients, enhancing financial inclusion, and contributing to deeper economic and financial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
