Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade has signed an investment agreement with Wildberries to construct a Class A logistics complex in the country. The agreement was signed following a meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, held on October 6 in Fergana.

According to the ministry’s press service, a total of four agreements were signed following the meeting. These included interregional cooperation agreements between Fergana Region and Omsk Region, Surkhandarya Region and Krasnoyarsk Krai, as well as Namangan Region and Dagestan.

The marketplace plans to implement the project in Tashkent Region in 2027–2028. The complex will cover an area of 180,000 square metres. The project’s estimated cost is US$140 million.

In September, the press service of Wildberries & Russ told Kommersant FM that the company was carrying out planned work to construct facilities in other countries.

“All efforts are currently focused on redistributing goods among different warehouses to ensure the economic stability of our partners,” the company stated.

In particular, the marketplace is relocating some of its operational capacity to Kazakhstan.
