International and business outreach
Throughout the year, the Agency organized and supported major investment events both in Uzbekistan and abroad.
· In particular, the Agency held a London capital markets roadshow supported by Rothschild & Co and JPMorgan Chase. The event brought together more than 170 participants, including representatives of 26 leading global financial institutions such as Citigroup, Standard Chartered, Franklin Templeton and others, collectively managing over USD 28 trillion in assets.
· A key highlight of the year was the Tashkent International Investment Forum 2025, which reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s position as one of the region’s leading investment platforms. The forum attracted over 8,000 participants, including approximately 3,000 international delegates from nearly 100 countries. There also was the First National Exhibition of Uzbekistan’s Industrial and Investment Potential, featuring more than 90 leading domestic companies operating in petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, construction materials, food processing and other industries. The forum brought investment contracts and trade agreements totaling USD 30.5 billion in energy, infrastructure, logistics, finance and other sectors.
Investor engagement and project support
In 2025, the Agency focused on close cooperation with foreign investors and the facilitation of investment projects in priority sectors of the economy. Over the year, the Agency reviewed and supported 28 investment projects worth USD 8.4 billion. These projects covered a broad range of sectors, including agriculture and agro-processing, food and textile industries, industrial manufacturing and metalworking, electrical engineering and cable production, renewable energy, as well as public–private partnership projects and other areas.
The geographical scope of partnerships included companies and investors from Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Jordan, Iran, Canada, China, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Finland and Sweden, reflecting diversified international interest in Uzbekistan’s investment opportunities.
During the year, the Agency received 55 formal inquiries from foreign investors, resulting in the conclusion of 13 cooperation agreements. To further strengthen investment dialogue, the Agency conducted over 200 meetings, organized 40 business forums, 7 roundtables, and 17 online consultations, significantly expanding international business contacts and reinforcing investment cooperation.
Research, analytics and global communications
In 2025, the Agency placed particular emphasis on developing a strong analytical foundation and practical guidance for foreign investors. One of the key publications was the report “New Uzbekistan: A Big Country with Big Opportunities,” prepared in partnership with the international communication company Hudson Sandler. The report provides foreign investors with a comprehensive overview of the country’s most dynamic sectors — ranging from information technology and green energy to industry and tourism.
In addition, the Agency in cooperation with PwC developed a comprehensive Investment Guide serving as a practical reference for foreign investors. The guide offers in-depth analysis of Uzbekistan’s investment climate, recent economic reforms, and opportunities across key sectors, with particular attention to strategic industries and examples of successful investment projects.
The Agency paid much attention to international media engagement. The Agency worked closely with leading global business and news agencies, including Reuters, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Global Finance, and other international publications. Coverage and analytical pieces in these media contributed to a balanced and credible perception of Uzbekistan as a reliable and attractive investment destination, while expanding outreach to global investment audiences beyond the region.
