With the assistance of the Investment Promotion Agency was signed a Memorandum on the implementation of the project for the production of float -glass

On October 15 a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the Investment Promotion Agency and Chinese company “Tashkent Zhuo Yuan Development” and the Khokimiyat of the Syrdarya Region willing to implement a project for the production of high-quality float glass.

First establishment of production of float glass in the world was  in the early 50s of the last century, and to this day is one of the most popular technologies for the production of flat glass, characterized by high quality with large dimensions of the sheet.  

At present, the glass industry of Uzbekistan is one of the most developing industries and the demand for its products is developing rapidly. Manufactured glass products from major industry players such as JSC “QUARZ”, JSC “Asl Oyna”, LLC “Karakalpak glassware” and JV LLC “Khorazm Shisha Idishlari” and other manufacturers, are supplied, as well as to the domestic market, and exported to neighboring countries like Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.

In Syrdarya region, there are necessary reserves of quartz-containing raw materials to create high-tech production. In turn, the parties, expressed their intention to use the latest achievements of science and technology to automate and modernize all storage, transportation processes within the framework of the planned project while signing the Memorandum.

In the Memorandum, the total amount of investments from the Chinese company is more than 10 million dollars, in the form of cash or necessary equipment and technology, inventory, as well as components for the full launch of the project.

The Khokimiyat of Syrdarya region will provide all kinds of assistance in selecting the appropriate location for the construction and organization of production lines, customs clearance, and tax filing after the development and approval of all the necessary documentation for project design and creation. provides the planned personnel and personnel for high quality glass production.
