EBRD plans to hold a shareholders’ meeting in 2023 in Uzbekistan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans to hold a 2023 shareholders meeting in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the president of the financial institution Odile Renaud Basso, Intellinews reports

Renaud Basso said last year was special as the EBRD has made a very high level of investment in Uzbekistan. The funds invested by the EBRD in the country’s economy in 2020 amounted to $ 1.8 billion.

“The Annual Meeting is a good opportunity to exchange views with countries and businesses of all countries to better regulate and prove that the bank is meeting the needs of the countries,” said Renaud Basso.

Note that to date, the bank has invested 1.85 billion euros in the economy of Uzbekistan, participating in 79 projects.
