MIFT is the most advanced state body that has made a great contribution to the development of the enterprise ecosystem

The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan won the nomination “The most advanced state body that made a great contribution to the development of the ecosystem of entrepreneurship” according to a survey of participants in Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is held annually for 12 years in 160 countries around the world and functions to create and support the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In Uzbekistan, its organizers are the Tashkent branch of the Global Entrepreneurship Network GEN, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, the Association of International Business and Technology, GroundZero Coworking and the Center for Support of Young Entrepreneurs.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week, held in 2019, was attended by more than 2 thousand guests, more than 40 local and foreign entrepreneurs.

The initiative covered such areas as startups, education, finance, women’s entrepreneurship, business scaling and growth, tourism, marketing, information and communication technologies, and many others.

The survey was conducted in 5 nominations:

1) The most advanced state body that has made a great contribution to the development of the enterprise ecosystem
2) The most convenient financial solution for entrepreneurs
3) The most active platform that has contributed to the development of the enterprise ecosystem
4) The most leading educational institution for training entrepreneurs
5) The brightest and most promising start-up

Voting results:

Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade – 102 votes
Ministry of Innovation – 60 votes
Ministry of Finance – 29 votes
Central Bank – 28 votes
Antimonopoly Committee – 16 votes
Capital Market Development Agency – 16 votes

The leadership of the Ministry took part in the award ceremony for the winners of the voting, talking about the mechanisms and tools used to support the private sector – foreign and local investors, as well as manufacturers and exporters.
