Global Logistics Chain and EKOL Logistics signed a memorandum on the construction of a logistics center

Logistics plays a key role in organizing economic flows and increasing the share of exports in the country’s foreign trade balance. Uzbekistan occupying a strategically important position in Central Asia has great logistics potential.

Realizing the importance of the impact of this sector on the country’s economy, Global Logistics Chain entered into an agreement with the Turkish EKOL Logistics on the implementation of a high-tech logistics complex with an area of ​​70 hectares. The total cost of the project will be more than 1.9 trillion soums. Thanks to its implementation, more than 3 thousand jobs will be created.

The logistics complex will offer services for domestic and international transportation of goods, warehousing, provision of storage facilities for Internet sites. Here will be located customs warehouses, container terminals, cargo, distribution centers and courier services.

EKOL Logistics was founded in 1990 in Turkey. It operates in 13 European countries and has more than 7.5 thousand vehicles at its disposal.

EKOL Logistics provides services for road, air and sea transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, warehouse management and suppliers.

The company’s services are used by the world’s leading brands: BMW, Renault, Shell, Unilever, P&G, Philips, British Petroleum, Mobil, Samsung, Nike and others.

The implementation of this project will contribute to the further development of the economy and an increase in the export potential of Uzbekistan.
