The President signed the law “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to increase the efficiency of the use of agricultural and forest land.”
According to the amendments to the Land Code, agricultural land can be subleased.
In this case, land of this category is leased for up to 1 year.Agricultural or forest land is leased on the basis of an investment agreement or public-private partnership by agreement of the parties, but not more than for the duration of the land lease agreement.
Early termination of a lease agreement for a land plot entails termination of a secondary lease agreement (unless otherwise provided by the agreement).
Early termination of a sublease agreement for a land plot is carried out by agreement of the parties, and if such an agreement is not reached, by a court decision.
Secondary leased agricultural land cannot be the subject of sale, mortgage, donation or exchange.According to the amendments to the Law “On Farms”, land plots allocated to farms can be leased for up to 1 year for intermediate sowing of agricultural crops.
According to the amendments to the Law “On Dekhkan Farms”, they can temporarily use the inherited land plots or part of them for growing agricultural products.
In this case, the procedure for the temporary use of the land plot is determined by agreement of the parties.
