Uzbekistan is located in the southwestern part of Central Asia

The northern point of Uzbekistan is located in the northeast of Ustyurt plateau (45° 36′ N),
the south – near the city of Termez on the banks of Amudarya (37° 11′ N),
the western – on Ustyurt plateau (56° E),
eastern – in the east of Fergana Valley (73° 10′ E)

Climate

The climate of Uzbekistan is classified as continental, with hot summers and cool winters.
The southern part of the country is the warmest, and the northern part is the coldest.
In summer, temperature often exceeds 41° C (106° F), and can even reach 45° C (113° F) and higher.
Humidity is not high. Winter temperature average around -8° C (18° F), but can fall to -40 °C (-40° F).
Most of the country is also quite arid, with average annual rainfall ranging in size from 100 (3.9 inches) and 200 (7.9 inches) in millimeters and occurs mostly in winter and spring.
