Airports to be reconstructed on the basis of a public-private partnership

A resolution of the President “On measures to develop public-private partnerships in the management of the republic’s airports” was adopted on 29 March.

In accordance with the resolution, the airports of the republic will be reconstructed, modernized, operated and managed on the basis of public-private partnership.

At the same time, for the implementation of the relevant work for a period of three years, the following benefits are provided:

private partners are exempt from paying customs duties for imported special vehicles, road construction equipment, machines, mechanisms, equipment, raw materials, materials, spare parts, components, assemblies, technological and project documentation, software;

recycling fee for imported vehicles and special equipment;

private partners and airports pay income tax, including income tax withheld upon payment of dividends, in the amount of 50 percent of the established rate;

– the established property tax rate for airports is reduced by 50 percent.
