A regional inter-sectoral industrial fair was held in Fergana region

A regional inter-sectoral industrial fair organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade in cooperation with the Fergana regional administration was held in Fergana. The opening ceremony was attended by First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade A.Voitov.

2.8 thousand square meters of SAMO sports complex will be built for the fair. closed and 1.7 thousand sq.m. open areas were used. The event was attended by more than 1,800 Uzbek enterprises and artisans specializing in textiles, leather and footwear, furniture, oil and gas, electrical engineering, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, as well as entrepreneurs from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Participants were provided with equipment for public catering establishments, furniture for laboratories and medicine, pumps and spare parts for them, artificial (synthetic) fiber, X-ray medical equipment, coatings for facades of buildings, natural decorative stones (agglomerate), 3D carpets, various 14 types of new products were demonstrated, such as industrial filters, electric scooters, smart autonomous mobile traffic lights, large-scale camera refrigerators, portable shops, incubators.

The B2B meetings and talks aimed at developing cooperation with more than 40 visiting businessmen from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan helped to find common ground.

In order to attract small and medium-sized businesses to public procurement, representatives of budget customers from preschool education, public education, health and other budget organizations were invited to the fair.

For visitors of the exhibition Fergana regional administration, the Ministry of Innovative Development, associations “Uzeltehsanoat”, “Uzcharmsanoat”, “Uzstroymaterialy”, JSC “Uzkimyosanoat”, JSC “Navoiazot”, LLC “Imkon plast”, Technopark LLC (Proline), Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency and a number of companies that form the main trends in production, made presentations on the investment and industrial potential of relevant industries, the specifics of production in different regions of the country, as well as measures to support entrepreneurs and exporters.

In order to negotiate with investors on specific issues, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade has developed and presented 240 promising investment projects worth $ 3.1 billion, taking into account the natural, infrastructural and other priorities of Fergana region.

According to the results of the fair, 779 contracts worth 272.4 billion soums were concluded through the Electronic Cooperation Portal, of which 140 contracts worth 109.2 billion soums were signed by regional enterprises, and 648 contracts worth 257.2 billion soums were signed. In addition, 14 memorandums of cooperation worth 10,916.67 million soums were signed during the fair.
